The Modular Mining Rig

Introducing the Modular Mining Rig. A 3D printed rig that you can add and reconfigure as you grow your mining farm. We believe that a mining rig should look more like a piece of art and less like a Frankenstein, after all, you’ve paid thousands of dollars for your GPU's, why throw it inside a cheaply made, poorly designed rig. With just a $200 3D printer, some standard M3 screws and 3 rolls of filament, you can build one of these Modular Mining Rigs.

Modular design

The Modular Design allows you to scale your rig to as small or as large as you require. All parts build upon each other and lock together seamlessly. From 4, 6, 8 or 80 GPU's, there is no limit with this Rig. Wether you are starting out with just a couple of GPU's or you own a Mining Farm, we have you covered.

Easy to 3D print

Each part has been designed to be printed on standard sized 3D printers (220mm x 220mm). Parts are kept to a minimum whilst maintaining full compatibility with industry standard parts such as ATX PSU's and Motherboards.

Easy to assemble

We provide full step by step, easy to follow assembly instructions via both video and photo/text. All parts lock together using standard M3 screws of varying lengths.

Industry standard compatibility

The Modular Mining Rig includes ready to print parts that are compatible with all major mining components and brands. This includes GPU riser boards, Server Power Supplies, ATX Motherboards, ATX Power Supplies mounted vertically and horizontally. More parts are being added as requested

Use as an open frame test rig

The main frame of the MMR is also a very practical test rig, allowing you easy access to all sides. This is useful if you like to experiment with different components and motherboards but do not want restrictions by putting it inside a case. A second benefit is that this frame will fit a slimline Lenovo or Dell case. This will allow you to repurpose one of these cheap desktop computers as the basis of your mining rig so that you can use its CPU, RAM, HDD and Motherboard.

Strength Tested

The design focused heavily on how to make large 3D printed parts hold up under pressure. We achieved this through having the blocks join together via interlocking plates that actually contribute to adding strength to the entire frame. This Rig has been tested to support 100KG without sagging.

The Sidecar Miner

Not ready to build a full mining rig? The Side Car Miner might be just what you are looking for. Neat and compact, it supports up to 4 GPU's and can plug into your existing PC, leveraging off hardware that you already own. Test out the water first and when you are ready, simply upgrade to a full rig whilst reusing the parts that you have already 3D printed.

Frequently asked questions

A personal Licence allows you to  print unlimited rigs that you own. This licence does not allow you to print for friends and colleges without them purchasing a licence.

Whilst PLA is generally not recommended for high temperature applications, we have PLA printed MMRs running for many months without issue. We recommend PETG filament which has a higher temperature resistance and will exceed your GPU’s temperature tolerance.

The MMR and Sidecar Miners are designed for assembly with minimum parts. You will require purchase of M3 Screws of varying lengths and some matching bolts. The amount varies depending on the size of the rig. Full details of the required screws are detailed in the instructions.
